A man of many talents, Hardeep is a respected broadcaster, comedian, writer and chef, and member of the Board of the National Theatre of Scotland.
His love of cooking is especially deep rooted in his family background. During the evening, among many other reflections, he'll tell us how his passion developed. He'll then invite us to share in a supper he'll make just prior to the event, featuring a selection of appetising dishes to tickle the tastebuds, including his Mum's Chicken Curry and his Gran's Lentil Dahl.
He can be heard on BBC Radio 4, including shows such as Hardeep's Sunday Lunch and Pick Of The Week. He has fronted programmes for BBC Radio 2, World Service and Asian Network, and is a regular on BBC1's Sunday Morning Live and on Channel 5's The Wright Stuff as both a panellist and guest host. He has written and presented documentaries for Channel 4 and wrote, directed and starred in Meet the Magoos.
As a comedian, he tours the country and plays regular runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to sell-out audiences.
He is a columnist for the Sunday Herald and The New European and contributor to The Observer, The Spectator, The Times and The Independent.
